Charitable Care

Charitable care is one of the most rewarding programs at the Foundation.

For hundreds of Methodist Hospital patients in genuine need each year, coping with serious illness and mounting medical bills at the same time can be overwhelming. The Foundation’s Charitable Care Program helps relieve the burden with funding for medical services, therapy and prescriptions.

Charitable Care distributions through June 2010: $152,273,75

Charitable Care for Patients in Need

The Foundation works closely with various departments throughout the Methodist Health System to provide financial assistance to patients genuinely unable to afford health care services.

Medication for Patients in Need

Social workers, physicians, nurses and caregivers work with the Foundation to identify patients who are unable to purchase their own prescription medications. Support from friends like you fund a limited supply until a long-term solution is determined.
