Creighton "Pink Out" Success For Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center
02/03/2012
The CenturyLink Center Omaha was a sea of pink on Saturday, Jan. 28, when the Creighton Blue Jays took on the Bradley Braves. The “Pink Out” was held to raise awareness about breast cancer and to raise funds for cancer research.
Pink t-shirts, which featured the Methodist logo on the back, were given to the first 12,000 fans and were made possible through our advertising sponsorship with Creighton athletics.
The record-setting crowd of over 18,000 generously donated prior to and at Saturday’s game.
The result was a donation to the Inner Beauty program at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center. Inner Beauty is a specialty salon for cancer survivors and a new Harper's Hope service made possible through a generous donation to Methodist Hospital Foundation.
Adding to the day’s success was Creighton’s 73-59 victory over the Braves.
