Meet breast cancer survivor Ruth Chermok, and Dr. Gene Herbek, Pathologist at Nebraska Methodist Hospital. Pathologists are physicians who diagnose and treat patients through laboratory medicine, and so the nature of their profession is such that they almost never get to meet the patients whose lives they impact each day. Meeting Ruth Chermok was something Dr. Herbek will never forget.
