THE DEFINING MOMENT:
The Campaign for Methodist's Women's Hospital & Methodist Hospital
This is the defining moment … the moment for Omaha’s most preferred hospital to move forward, and in doing so, to make history. Methodist is creating the region’s first hospital dedicated to excellence in women’s health care.

Relocating the obstetrical and gynecological services to this new $120 million hospital will allow us to invest another $100 million at our 84th street campus.

Total investment: $220 million!

Vision for The Josie Harper Campus Always Included Student Housing
The first step in realizing this vision occurred in June with the acquisition of Whispering Pines, an apartment complex located along the west property line of The Josie Harper Campus. Methodist Hospital Foundation is seeking major gifts through an informal capital campaign to raise $5 million for purchase and renovations of the property. We are grateful to Mike Harper and his family for making the first exceptional gift to this campaign. “Josie’s Village” should be completed in August of 2007.

Reaching Student Housing Goal Closer Thanks to Leinart Gift

A generous gift commitment from Grace Riley-Leinart and Earl Leinart has helped propel The Josie’s Village Capital Campaign to 62 percent of its $5,060,000 goal.  Their gift will be in the form of a pledge to be paid through their estate plans.

Josie’s Village is an apartment complex property adjacent to Nebraska Methodist College – The Josie Harper Campus. The Capital Campaign was established to purchase and renovate this complex into 67 beautiful one and two bedroom housing units for students of Nebraska Methodist College.

In recognition for the Leinarts’ gift, the largest apartment building located within Josie’s Village will be named in their honor.  Many other naming opportunities remain available.

The Leinarts also generously supported the capital campaign to build The Josie Harper Campus and The Grace Riley-Leinart and Earl Leinart Education Center recognizes their outstanding philanthropic spirit.
