Josie Harper, the late wife of former ConAgra President Mike Harper, was a beloved wife and mother who lost her life to lung cancer. A special gift from The Harper Family Foundation established Harper’s Hope to honor Josie and provide support services for cancer survivors in the Omaha community.
|
Currently, 62 percent of cancer survivors are expected to live at least five years after diagnosis. With the increase in the number of people surviving cancer, we now understand cancer follow-up is important for a lifetime.
Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center is proud to be on the cutting edge of this new care by introducing Harper’s Hope, the first comprehensive program created to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors in Omaha.
| Survivors and their loved ones will be introduced to services available exclusively from Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center at a complimentary orientation meeting. From there, they will work with experts to develop a customized survivorship plan, choosing one, a few or all of these services: |

| Harper’s Hope is a true community service. Regardless of where you go for cancer treatment – whether you are newly diagnosed or a longtime survivor – Harper’s Hope is available to you. Initial use of our services is free of charge, and you will not be denied access to Harper’s Hope services because of inability to pay. |
